Football... Viewer is discretion advised!
If you follow football at all here is an awesome video that will make you laugh. It has mild adult content and not meant for children. Click on this link: http://www.directv.com/footballcops/default.html.

That's Oregon for ya!
What started out as a nice ride in the morning under cloudy skies turned out to be a nasty soaking rain that probably led the drenched cyclist indoors for a warming cup of coffee!

Tropical Strawberry Smoothie
I created the Tropical Strawberry Smoothie for a couple of reasons. The first, is for an amazing blast of energy and the second, is to curb the cravings for unhealthy desserts. The wonderful thing about a smoothie is made with right ingredients, it can be served as a midnight snack without adding weight to the scale the next morning.
I posted the recipe below and also added some alternate/optional ingredients. My favorite way to make this drink is to keep it all natural with honey as the sweetener. Just add honey slowly to make sure it only sweetens and does not override all the other flavors.
Strawberry Tropical Smoothie
Makes about 36-48oz (three 12 oz glasses).
4-5 Strawberries with cap removed (if using a blender such as a Vita Mix you can leave this part on)
1 Banana (approx)
1/2 Mango
1/4 Honeydew/Cantaloupe (approx)
2 T -1/4 C Honey (based on your palate)
3-4 Ice cubes
1/2 - 1 C Plain yogurt (Nancy's, Greek, etc)
Alternate/optional ingredients:
3 T Milk (optional. Helps to mix)
1-2 T. Wheat Germ (added for health, does not alter flavor)
1/2-1 C Mango Sorbet (if you add this, do not use the honey)
Blend the strawberries and banana. Add each of the next items one at a time and blend. Use the optional milk if you have trouble getting the fruit to blend. Finally, add yogurt and tap the stir button on mixer to just blend. This will help keep the live cultures active.
Serve immediately or freeze.
*All ingredients can be exchanged or omitted to taste. A very easy way to make a smoothie is to just use two or three fruit as the base.

Photography:
My latest photo shoot. Wow, what a day that was! There was the usual cloudy, cold weather and even a good dose of rain to deal with, but everyone seemed to be in good spirits despite the gloomy weather. I had it all mapped out in my mind just where we would set up a mini-session at the local park. Of course as photo shoots often go, I was disappointed to find that my first location was unusable. Even though it was raining there was a work crew out chopping down brush and I didn't figure this would be a good backdrop for family photos ;-). I had everyone cross over to another covered patio at the other end of the park which was plan B, but when we got there we found that it was also being used as a temporary shelter for a bicyclist. Judging from the looks of it, I don't think he wanted to share with all of us. So we moved on and finally found a place to snap a few shots below an overhang on a park bench. I stood in the rain and tried my best to keep my camera dry, but at this point I was glad for a nice mostly dry bench for the models and some pretty smiles. The photos turned out so beautiful and I was impressed with the number of shots that most if not all of the models were looking at the camera (or at least that general direction).
It was cold out there, so we wrapped it up as quickly as possible and headed for the nearest coffee shop for warm up drinks. Our group grew by four by the time we hit the store, but we all fit in nice and cozy around a few tables that we haphazardly shoved together.
Such a fun day
P.S.
The colors may be off because I am not use to the current dinosaur I am on after my computer crashed. I think it has to do with the calibration or something. Anyway, enjoy.

Caribbean Bracelet
I just love this Etsy bracelet. I want to clasp it on with a nice island dress. Something small, and reserved so this little beauty can be the star of the show. Of course, I need to make all the reservations on some hot island somewhere first, but I may just have to worry about that later...
